As part of its work on EURRECA, Cp FOODLAB is undertaking a survey among accredited and non accredited laboratories in the EU to identify protocols for nutrient measurement.

Laboratory protocols used in the analysis of vitamins (B12, D, riboflavin, folate), minerals (Ca, Fe, Cu, Mg, Se, Zn), lithium, iodine, ω-3 fatty acids, phytochemicals (polyphenols, carotenoids, isoflavones), will be collated and reviewed to identify gaps, advantages and deficiencies among laboratories.

Finally, improvements which will lead to new laboratory standards and/or methods will be suggested/recommended.
