Researchers at UCLAN including Dr Nicola Lowe, Professor Fiona Dykes and Dr Victoria Hall Moran have extensive experience in nutrition, particularly with regard to ethnic minority groups, pregnant and lactating women infants and adolescents.

Our current research projects include work on Vitamin D and bone health in South Asian women, evaluation of peer support provision for breastfeeding women in North West England, Visual imagery and breastfeeding promotion, meta-synthesis on breastfeeding support.

Specific roles within Research Activity 2.4 (pregnant and lactating women) and 2.7 (immigrants) are being developed.
