The Nutrition and Food Security (NFS) programme of the WHO Regional Office for Europe provides guidance to Member States on the development and implementation of food and nutrition policies. NFS collaborates with a network of nutrition experts in Member States, who facilitate the gathering and exchange of information.

Within EURRECA, NFS will disseminate the recommendations and protocols developed by Eurreca to support national initiatives on surveillance, micronutrient deficiency prevention, labelling schemes and development of food based dietary guidelines. Workshops and training events will be organised possibly involving countries outside the Eurreca Network of Excellence.
